Where Our Crystals Come From (And Why We're Particular About It)

Where Our Crystals Come From (And Why We're Particular About It)

Every crystal that comes through Druzy Portal has a story before it reaches you. We think that story matters, so here's ours.

We don't source from big distributors or faceless wholesale catalogs. We work primarily with small, independent vendors, the kind of operations where you're talking directly to the people who actually handle the material. One of our longtime partners is a husband-and-wife team whose younger brother joins them at the shop when he's home from college. Another is a father-daughter duo where the dad has a gift for finding exceptional raw material and can custom-cut pieces specifically for us. These aren't transactions. They're relationships built on trust, and that makes all the difference.

When you know the people you're buying from, you actually get answers. And we ask a lot of questions.

Before we bring anything in, we want to know where a mineral was mined, how it was extracted, and every step it took to get from the ground to our hands, including who does the carving and cutting work and whether those individuals are paid fairly. We're not interested in a polished story. We want the real supply chain, because honest answers tell us whether a vendor's values line up with ours.

We also pay close attention to origin in a broader sense. Some regions produce truly stunning material but have well-documented issues around labor practices, environmental harm, or conflict funding. Myanmar is one example. We have some cotton candy agate from there, genuinely gorgeous pieces we sourced a year or two ago, but we made a deliberate decision to stop bringing in new material from that region. We're not in the business of pretending those older pieces don't exist, but we are in the business of making better choices going forward.

So whether you're a seasoned collector, someone deep in your wellness journey, shopping for a meaningful gift, or just discovering crystals for the first time, we want you to feel confident in what you're bringing home. The pieces in our shop come from people we know, supply chains we've dug into, and vendors who share our commitment to doing this the right way.

When we can tell you exactly where something came from, we will. When we're still learning, we'll say that too.

And if you ever have a question for us, we'll always do our best to answer it. Because just like we value the relationships we've formed with our vendors, we feel the same way about you.
